Hey all, Nick here! I more commonly go by the name NARbluebear though. I joined the PT Scoutdigo community on June 23, 2023. Since then I have made Community Edition (with a lot of help of WestCraft15 and TheNja09, as well as various other members of the community), speedran a few levels, and almost 100%ed Scoutdigo. My current progress in Scoutdigo is measured in-game as an 87% Tower Status. I still need to P-Rank floors 4 and 5, and do the arenas. As with most people, I first started playing Pizza Tower when I heard about the SAGE 2019 demo. I kinda forgot it existed afterwards, and after a few years someone told me it had released on Steam. It took a few months for me to be able to buy it though, but when I did I just couldn't stop playing.

Community Edition

I started Community Edition as just a simple bugfix: the TNT Blocks in Oregano Desert simply wouldn't break if you jump into them from below with the Firemouth transformation. Eventually, I found more bugs, and as time went on, I felt like I should release fixes for them as a separate mod. Thus, v1.2.2CE was born. The mod released on September 25th, 2023, and was officially put in the Releases channel around early October. v1.2.3CE started around mid October 2023, though we almost had to restart during January 2024 due to Scoutdigo v1.2's source code being officially released. v1.2.3CE mainly focuses on turning Mario into a real character, as well as overall bugfixes and a speedrun timer (ported from final game Pizza Tower) and released on February 26, 2024 if I'm not mistaken. v1.2.4CE focuses on expanding the gustavo Console Command and turning him into a real character, like v1.2.3CE did with Mario. It also adds The Gauntlet, a rough challenge where you need to dash through every single level before Pizzaface spawns. Currently, only some of Gustavo's transformations will be available, with some major tweaks:

  • The Barrel transformation will have Brick pick up the barrel and put it in his mouth, letting him spit it out when needed. This also breaks the cardinal rule of carriable objects, being that you normally cannot take them into other rooms.
    • It was originally planned to put Brick inside of a barrel, leaving Gustavo to push him around.
  • The Shotgun is replaced with a rocket launcher (which I like to call the "Brick Bazooka"). It automatically targets enemies, Shotgun Blocks, and Stupid Rats.
  • In Gnome Forest, The Pig City, and Champignon's Road, the Gustavo sections will have you play as Peppino instead.
  • Pepperoni Goblins kick Brick away from Gustavo.
  • Gustavo rides Brick like a boat to safely get across still water.
  • Mort's just there for moral support. Upon getting the Pepper Pizza, Brick can spit out three fireballs, akin to Super Mario World's red Yoshi (Yoshis?). These fireballs will pierce through enemies and standard destructibles, but just barely pack enough punch to destroy one metal block.
  • Brick will be able to eat rockets, similar to The Noise, and turn into one himself. The transformation itself still functions like Peppino's though.
